Low Fat Salmon Recipes

There are many wonderful low-fat recipes for salmon that will delight the palates of your guests or family. This first recipe uses low fat salmon delicious ingredients such as low or fat-free sour cream or mayonnaise without creating a delicious cream of salmon recipe that is perfect for any occasion. For this recipe you need: 2 pounds salmon fillets, ¾ cup low fat sour cream or fat-free 1 / 3 cup mayonnaise or fat-free 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons lemon juice 8 ounces cream cheese low-fat or fat-free 1 clove garlic, minced 1 / 3 cup white wine to your favorite salt, pepper and paprika to taste. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Wash the salmon and dry with a paper towel. Use a cooking spray such as Pam and spray your 9×13 inch baking dish. Place salmon fillets in baking dish skin side down in a single layer. In a medium bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, flour, lemon juice, cream cheese, garlic and wine until smooth and well blended. Now, with the back of a spoon spread the mixture over the salmon. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and paprika to taste. No cover and cook for about 20 minutes. You can use a meat thermometer to ensure your salmon is done and not overcooked. An ideal sauce to serve with grilled salmon is a low-fat dip dill lemon. For this sauce you need: 2 tablespoons fat-free mayonnaise 2 tablespoons lime juice 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard ¾ teaspoon dill salt and pepper to taste. Mix all ingredients with a wire whisk and refrigerate until ready to serve.
