Don Giovanni Italian restaurant in Bangkok

Don Giovanni, the Italian restaurant at the Sofitel Centara Grand Hotel, is actually the name of what most opera of all time. At least, thatâ?? s what the introduction of the menu here says and not an opera fan I Cana?? t comment on that one way or another. However, I know that some experiences that orchestrate an extremely pleasant dining IA?? I have had dinners and lunches here several times over the years and have always been satisfied with the food and service. Some parts of the menu have changed over the years and some have been as different chefs have come and gone. However, the basic philosophy has remained in place and that involves serving top quality food and wines with formal service and attention to detail. In addition, the menu always has always had many traditional dishes based as well as some updated versions of classic dishes of the chefs?? own repertoires. One thing that is definitely classic Don Giovanni is his strict adherence to the traditional way of making a Caesar?? S Salad. This is, I believe, the only place in town where you can get a Caesar?? S salad made at your table. This may not seem a big deal, but some purists a Caesar is not a less Italian Cesare?? S carried out in the table. IA?? I am not so strict about it, but personally I think the original recipe must be followed or Italian?? S is not really a Caesar salad is? Many times I’ve eaten at a place of Italian fashion, or other people too, and the chef at the restaurant decided that its interpretation of a Caesar salad is higher than the chef Caesar Cardini, who originated this creation in Tijuana, Mexico Restaurant in 1924. The results are sometimes ridiculous with the chef throw in everything but the kitchen sink in a vain attempt to put his personal mark on this plate. They only have to do themselves a favor and follow the original recipe as they do in Don Giovanni?? S. Better flavor, purists will be happy and gastronomic gods smile on them. There are other dishes here, however, where chefs have used their own ideas about how certain dishes should be presented. I donate?? T always agree with them: carpaccio, for example, should be made of meat and tuna or veal, but usually wea?? Again on the same page, so to speak. In the appetizer section Thereâ?? Brulee example sa great mix of high-end ingredients when serving a goose liver cr? Me with sauteed foie gras mousse, apple and black truffle sauce. The richness of foie gras and truffles together is simply delicious and just on the edge of overdoing it. The rest of this huge menu contains enough to keep anyone happy if you want something simple, like spaghetti with tomato sauce and oregano or something a little more elaborate like a rack of lamb with crusted with black pepper and tarragon infusion of lamb sauce. My own favorites include plate fried seafood, the sirloin and Australia loin wrapped in bacon, toast, bacon and foie gras. There are many more that I like all sections of the menu â?? risottos, pastas, soups, appetizers and meat and fish tickets?? but these are the ones who have left the deepest impression. There are plenty of good wines to accompany your meal, so here in the warehouse attached inside the restaurant. These, together with the service and the food here, you have to sing Don Giovanni?? S praise yourself, perhaps not in an operatic style, yet with joy.
