Another comment from a person in the United Kingdom, incredible. . . my problem is the icing arounds folds the edges of the cake. . . and round. . . Video on fondant / ice sheet appears to be flat against the edge of the cake without flapping folds over. . . that’s incredible how to do that. . . requires much skill you have

  20. melmelmelonpie Says:

@ M4037331 This is basically a sheet of ice smooth paste used to cover the surface of a cake.

  21. M4037331 Says:

    @ Snootly Many thanks for your response. . . . . . . . . I’m in the U.S. and I hope to locate the roll prepared for royal icing. . . . . . . . . . . I’m glad your finished cake was a success. . . . . . . . .

  24. Snootly Says:

@ LadyO1066 I just bought it, most big UK supermarkets sell it, creo.Me seemed a little complicated at first, the first times I’ve thrown overestimated the size I needed and did so very thin, so broke. However, once I had the size and thickness that was easy to put on the cake, and smoothed it with my hands alone. I left it overnight in a can without problems. My friend wanted the finished cake and has a lot of congratulations at the party:) If you try, good luck!

  25. LadyO1066 Says:

    @ Dsb188 Great Point, to take the cake on a pedestal, which allows fondant to fall easily. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
